How Veil works

Creating a deal

Choose two assets and exact amounts. If you're selling an ERC-20, you first approve exactly that amount for the escrow contract, then create the deal, which moves it into escrow. HYPE needs no approval.

Accepting a deal

The taker pays exactly the requested amount, and the transaction either settles both sides or reverts. Fills are all or nothing. Before anything reaches your wallet, the app simulates the transaction to catch one that would fail.

Fees

Each side's fee comes out of what that side receives, rounded down. Rates are fixed when a deal is created, and are capped at 1% per side. Current rates are on the settings page.

Getting out

The maker can cancel an open deal before expiry, and recover the escrow at or after expiry. Both work even while new deals and fills are paused. Only the maker can do either.

Private deals

A private deal is left out of this app's order book, and can be limited to one wallet, which the contract enforces. It isn't anonymous: see the risk disclosure.

Tokens

The contract only accepts tokens on its allowlist. Paste an address into the token picker to check any token on-chain.
